The visual techniques that are employed in this painting include the contrasting of the two colours where red symbolises death and the black and other dull colour symbolises the Germans who don't care about the Jews. The use of the Jewish symbol is to show the theme of this painting and to symbolise that the hand is a Jewish hand reaching for a German manikin who cares about the Jews.
